Engineering YES - East Midlands Heat Winners

A group of business savvy EFET Research Engineers triumphed to win the Engineering YES, East Midlands Heat and Peer Review Prizes.

Team “APEX” is a collaboration of EFET Research Engineers based at Nottingham, Birmingham and Loughborough Universities.  The successful young entrepreneurs are; Orla Williams, Peter Beck, Navdeep Kahlon, Philip Jenkinson and Callum Hall.

Their winning innovative product of a wireless device to charge electric vehicles impressed the panel of judges, as well as the other competing teams.

The Research Engineers are now looking forward to the UK Grand Final, on 20th June at Birmingham Science Park, where the top teams from each regional heat go head-to-head to win the top cash prize of £2000 and the prestigious title of ‘UK Engineering YES Champions’.
